Curli is a queer Black and Ethiopian self-taught cartoonist, photographer, and writer. Her love of the arts began as soon as she could pick up a pencil and has only gotten worse over time. Her comic work focuses on the queer Ethiopian experience and her love of sci-fi and fantasy genres. Her photography work mostly focuses on wildlife with a special focus on birds.

What happens when a Chosen One falls from grace?Aster, a failed Chosen One turned hovercar mechanic, ekes out a living in the city-state Addar with her brother Jember. Forced to hide their magical heritage due to the exploitation of magic by gangs and governments alike, the siblings’ cover is threatened when Aster gets an unusual hovercar repair at her workplace. Little does she know that it will plunge her into a world of magical crime, and force her to reckon with a buried power that could tear her apart from the inside out.
